Verified Reviews

We verify reviews to ensure they come from genuine customers with completed projects. A "Verified Review" badge indicates:

  • The reviewer has a completed project record on Proofd
  • The review was submitted after project completion
  • The reviewer's identity has been confirmed
  • The review meets our community guidelines

Review Guidelines

Reviews should be:

Honest & Factual

Share your genuine experience and specific details about the work.

Respectful

Critique work and service, not personal characteristics.

Relevant

Focus on the trade professional's work quality and professionalism.

Specific

Include details about the project, timeline, and outcome.

What We Don't Allow

We remove reviews that:

  • Contain profanity, harassment, or hate speech
  • Are spam or promotional content
  • Include personal contact information
  • Make unsubstantiated legal claims
  • Appear to be from competitors or unrelated parties
  • Are duplicates of the same review
  • Contain explicit or inappropriate images

Excellent

Exceptional work, professional, reliable, would hire again

Good

Quality work with minor issues, overall positive experience

Satisfactory

Work completed but with some concerns or delays

Poor

Significant issues with quality or professionalism

Very Poor

Serious problems, would not recommend

For Trade Professionals

We take review disputes seriously. If you believe a review violates our policy:

  • Report the review with a detailed explanation
  • Our team will investigate within 5 business days
  • We may contact the reviewer for clarification
  • We remove reviews that violate our guidelines
  • You can request a response be posted to a review

Review Removal

Reviews may be removed if they:

  • Violate our community guidelines
  • Are proven to be fraudulent or unverified
  • Contain defamatory content
  • Include irrelevant or off-topic information
  • Are removed at a verified user's legal request

Removal requests are reviewed by our moderation team and a decision is made within 10 business days.

Appeal Process

If your review is removed or flagged, you can appeal our decision:

  1. Submit an appeal through your account within 30 days
  2. Provide additional context or evidence
  3. Our team reviews your appeal within 7 business days
